Founded in 1984, TEC Systems Group has grown from a one-man shop in Wichita to a nationwide team of professionals focused systems integration and our first client is still our client today.
Our Story
TEC was founded in 1984 by Rolland Eakins, who served as CEO and President until his passing in 2016. From humble beginnings in Wichita, Kansas — the aerospace capital of the world — Rolland built TEC on a simple premise: become your client's engineering partner, not their vendor.
That philosophy took root. TEC's first client from 1984 is still a client today — a testament to the long-term relationships that define how we work. Over four decades, we've grown to a team of engineers and specialists serving 50+ plants concurrently, nationwide, including Fortune 500 companies.
Today, under the leadership of President Luis Rodriguez, TEC continues to expand — adding AI/ML capabilities, data engineering services, and modern technology platforms while maintaining the technical excellence and client focus that Rolland established.

Rolland Eakins
TEC's founder, Rolland Eakins, served as CEO and President from 1984 until his passing in 2016. He was passionate about creating and maintaining a legacy plan that provided TEC and its valuable employees a secured future. His legacy lives on through the Rolland Eakins TEC-novation Room at Wichita's Advanced Learning Library — a community space that teaches all ages about technology and innovation.
