Privacy policy

We keep this short and human. The summary in three lines:

  • We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
  • We use site-usage data to improve the site and run better sales and marketing outreach.
  • We use advertising cookies so you may see TEC ads on LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram, and Google after visiting the site. You can opt out at any time.

What we collect

When you fill out a form

The contact form and the general-application form collect what you tell us — name, email, phone, company, message, and (for applications) a resume file. That data goes to TEC Systems Group staff only — the recruiter or sales rep who would be in touch with you.

When you browse the site

We use a small number of analytics and advertising tools to understand which pages people visit, where they came from, and how to make the site work better. These tools may set cookies in your browser.

Tools we use, by name

  • Plausible Analytics — page-view counts, referrer info, outbound link clicks, file downloads, and aggregate form submission events. Cookieless and does not store IP addresses or personal data.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymized heatmaps and session recordings so we can see where pages are confusing.
  • Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Google Ads tag — let us show TEC ads to you on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, the Google Display Network, and YouTube after you visit our site.
  • RB2B — identifies the company (and sometimes the person) of US-based visitors using deterministic data, so our team can follow up if you've shown interest. US visitors only.

What we'll never do

  • Sell your personal information to anyone.
  • Share it with third parties for their own marketing.
  • Send unrelated mailings you didn't ask for.

What we will do

  • Use site activity data to improve our content, our forms, and our outreach.
  • Use site-visit data to retarget you with TEC ads on LinkedIn, Facebook / Instagram, and Google.
  • Reach out — by email, phone, or LinkedIn — if you've shown interest in our services or submitted a form.

Your choices

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of the “sale or sharing” of your personal information. California's broad definition of “sharing” includes some of our advertising cookies (Meta, LinkedIn, Google). To opt out of that sharing, reject “advertising” cookies on the consent banner or email privacy@tecsystemsgroup.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

EU and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

We process your data under two bases: your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries you submit through our forms. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@tecsystemsgroup.com to exercise any of these rights.

Data retention

Form submissions are kept as long as the conversation is active or the opportunity is open in our CRM, then archived per our internal retention schedule. Analytics data is retained per the defaults of each tool listed above. Resumes submitted to the careers form are kept for up to 24 months and may be revisited when a matching role opens, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Security

Form data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Resume files are stored in a private Azure Blob container scanned for malware before any TEC employee can open them. Access is limited to authenticated staff who need it for their role.

Children

The site is not directed to anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
